The Harness Guitar

A Removable Condenser Microphone For Acoustic Guitars

The Harness Guitar is a condenser microphone designed to mount in the sound hole of a standard acoustic guitar. It is voiced for a flat frequency response with a slight peak above 12 KHz to bring out the clarity and harmonics of the strings. The omnidirectional pattern ensures all the sounds of the guitar are captured accurately and free from colorization effects from off-axis sounds. The mounting design allows use in any guitar with a standard sound hole, with no modifications needed to the guitar. It is fully compatible with nylon string guitars. You get the accuracy of a microphone, with the convenience of a typical sound hole pickup. No more fussing with microphone placement, and it’s out of the way of your playing.

The microphone is powered by phantom power. A special low-power version is available for use with wireless battery packs. If you have a non-standard sound hole size or placement, consider using The Harness with an adhesive mount.

The Harness Guitar uses real Sitka Spruce wood, cut with laser precision. The logo is artfully burned into the wood and a light protective coating is applied to preserve it. The standard cord is a non-removable 10ft XLR cord. Cords lengths of 6ft and 15ft are available to order. The Harness Guitar is capable of up to 132 dB with a low background noise of only 21 dB.
