It uses 3 12AX7s and 4 EL34s. All are Tung-Sol Reissues.
It uses a mixture of Carbon-Composition resistors for the vintage vibe and Metal-Film resistors for low noise.
It uses Sprague Orange Drop coupling capacitors and JJ Filter capacitors.
The Output transformer was made by now defunct Obsolete Electronics, known for making excellent Marshall transformers.
The box and covering were done myself.
The amp sounds, quite simply, amazing. The only solid state in the amplifier is the rectifier diodes. The layout is designed to minimize noise and hum. The resulting noise is lower than what the guitar itself creates.
This amp is LOUD!!! Two of the power tubes can be removed to cut the power down to 50w. This makes the volume a bit more manageable.
The Front controls (from left to right): High gain input (top), Low gain input (bottom), Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble,Presence, Volume, Standby, Power.
On the back (left to right): Main fuse, HT Fuse, Line Out, 2 Paralleled Speaker Jacks, Impedance Switch (4-8-16 ohm)
The amp is for sale for $1100.00 at Degroovia Guitars
